i didn't know about the author of the original book and didn't know about the movie.
i recently saw the making of the movie...so i decided to see the film. it is based on the children's book? it was really interesting seeing all the different animals living underground to escape from their enemies...the son who was trying to be like a grown up...and i enjoyed the details of the scenery created from miniatures. i love this type of animations!
this film is going to be one of the films i am going to show for the kids who are coming to my workshop for the special day. i am sure they will enjoy it.
i rediscovered the book titled "scandinavian design". this thick paperback book contains marimekko and other great scandinavian designs.
Yes, it is based on a childrenbook. He has also written "Matilda", which is a movie, too. Do you know it? I have recommend Mr Fox at goodreads to you so you can read more about it there. I read it last year and loved it! I have not seen the movie yet.
